Employment & Experience

  • For the last 18 months I’ve worked as a Sustainability Analyst, specialising in environmental marketing and circular business initiatives in fashion and food.

Environmental Claims Training: Responsible for the creation and delivery of environmental claims training to help mitigate the risk of greenwashing in business. Partnering with colleagues from legal, I helped develop bespoke environmental marketing guidance, workshops and online training to equip and empower all marketing, e-com and product development teams with the knowledge and skills they need to promote bold, but compliant environmental marketing claims. Including the creation of credible evidence dossiers to support their claims. This work was underpinned by the UK’s CMA Green Claims Code.

Corporate Website: Led the transformation of one of the most visible corporate websites in the UK, in a business that is sensitive to public information. Successfully delivered the project to completion in a compressed timescale with positive response from senior stakeholders. View here.

Life Cycle Assessment: Partnered with a credible university to deliver a bespoke LCA with limited budget and compressed timescale. The LCA acted as a translator between technical and business stakeholders to make sound, fact-based business decisions.

  • Sustainable Marketing, Media & Creative @ University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership:

Integrated in my approach are the latest learnings, theories and methodologies from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership including:

    • Supporting industry transition towards a ‘guide and co-create’ approach to marketing; moving away from the traditional business-as-usual ‘make and sell’ model.

    • Embracing a regenerative and restorative approach to critical thinking.

    • Working towards purpose-first growth. Co-creating strategies with stakeholders to move away from short-term, planet-harming profit and towards long-term prosperity and sustainable growth for all people and planet.

    • Re-evaluating the role of ‘value’ within society, and how it’s created. Including, how we produce and consume products; and the transition from business-as-usual linear value chains towards more sustainable, circular business models.

    M&S Autograph Brand Strategy:

During the pandemic, I was responsible for managing Autograph womenswear at M&S.
